A visit to explore the beauty market, meet long-standing customers and consider the product and supply decisions behind wholesale and private label nail collections.
JTING visited Beautyworld Dubai 2026, held from October 6 to 8 at Dubai World Trade Centre in the United Arab Emirates. We went to look at products, understand the market and meet customers. During the visit, we spoke with some long-standing customers about this year's exhibition and their plans for the months ahead.
Our perspective was that of a gel nail polish manufacturer and supply partner. For nail brands, importers and distributors, an appealing product is only part of a purchasing decision. The assortment, packaging, quantities and arrangements for repeat orders also need to work for the business.
The visit gave us a chance to reconnect in person and consider products in that wider commercial setting. This recap brings together the 2026 event background and JTING's recommendations for buyers reviewing a wholesale range or private label project after the show.
Why Beautyworld Dubai Matters to Nail Product Buyers
The 2026 exhibition marked the event's 30th edition and its new identity as Beautyworld Dubai, previously Beautyworld Middle East. Organised by Messe Frankfurt Middle East, it connected finished beauty products with manufacturing, ingredients and packaging. The organiser's 2026 announcement described Dubai as both a market for international brands and a base for brands developing their own global reach.
For commercial buyers, that breadth puts different parts of a sourcing project in the same setting. A distributor can consider how a product fits its catalog; a nail brand can review collection development and packaging; an importer can look beyond the finished product to the supplier and supporting information.
The official 2026 exhibitor directory included Nail Gels & Polishes, Extensions & Acrylic Nails and Nail Art, as well as contract manufacturing and private label categories. These areas made the exhibition relevant to professional nail supply, alongside its wider fragrance and skincare offering.
The business programme added regional context. The organiser's Day One report covered a GCC market session that challenged the idea of treating Saudi Arabia and the UAE as one market. From our manufacturing perspective, the useful question is specific: where will the buyer sell, through which channels and with what product positioning? Those details help define a sourcing brief more clearly than a broad request for products for the Middle East.
Meeting Long-Standing Customers in Dubai
Meeting existing customers was an important part of the trip. We talked about how they found the exhibition and what they were considering for their businesses next. The conversations were straightforward and gave us time to listen outside the usual exchange of product lists and order details.
For us, maintaining a supply relationship includes understanding what a customer's next stage may require. A change in sales channel, a collection update and an expansion of the existing range can call for different product and packaging choices. These are planning considerations, rather than reasons to send the same assortment to every buyer.
The discussions in Dubai were a chance to stay in touch with customers' plans. More detailed product selection, sampling and order requirements can then be addressed directly with each business.
Planning a Nail Product Range for Commercial Supply
After an exhibition, the challenge is to turn a product shortlist into a range that makes sense to stock, sell and replenish. The following are our recommendations for nail brands, wholesalers, distributors and salon supply businesses assessing their next collection.
Balance Assortment Breadth with Stock Depth
Start with the existing catalog and the purpose of the new range. Is the buyer filling gaps in core colors, adding a seasonal selection or introducing an effect category? That answer should guide the shade count and quantities per shade before the packaging design is finalised.
A gel polish set with many closely related shades can spread the opening order across products that serve similar needs. A more focused selection may leave room for greater stock depth in priority colors. The right balance depends on the buyer's sales history and channel; a new range should not be treated as a proven bestseller before it has been evaluated.
Our gel nail polish color sets offer a starting point for assortment planning. Keep each shade code connected to the approved sample, bottle label and purchase order. Confirm how individual shades can be reordered, rather than assuming the original set is the only purchasing format.
Evaluate Cat Eye Gel as a Distinct Product Line
For a cat eye gel polish collection, compare the effect direction as well as the color. A soft luminous finish, a defined magnetic line and a more dramatic reflective look may suit different positions in a professional catalog. Several similar effects do not automatically create a stronger assortment.
Have the technical or product team assess samples using the supplier's application and curing instructions. Record the base color, magnet, application steps and lighting used for comparison photographs. A preferred display image is a reference for appearance, not a complete specification for the gel.
Before approving the range, agree on how each effect will be named, photographed and explained to downstream buyers. Consistent product information helps a distributor present the collection clearly and gives professional users a better reference when reproducing the intended finish.
Match Builder Gel to the Professional Channel
When sourcing builder gel, define the services the downstream salon customers need to support. Natural-nail overlays, short extensions and longer sculpted nails are different requirements. Bottle or jar format is one part of the selection, not a substitute for confirming the product's intended use.
Ask for the handling characteristics, curing guidance and specified removal method for the selected products. Not every builder gel is soak-off, and gels in similar packaging may have different application limits. The product description supplied to a distributor should reflect those differences.
Use feedback from professional evaluators to narrow the shortlist. A focused builder range can complement the color collection without matching its shade count. Select formats and colors around the services being supplied, then confirm the approved product references for subsequent orders.
Approve Packaging for Production and Repeat Orders
Review the complete configuration: bottle, cap, brush, label and any outer box. Packaging choices affect the quotation as well as the presentation. A buyer comparing offers needs to know whether the same components and branding requirements are included in each price.
For a wholesale gel nail polish order, clear shade identification and a consistent link to the item list are important. For private label production, review the artwork on the intended packaging format and confirm the physical sample where required. A digital mockup establishes design direction; it does not replace every packaging approval.
Keep the agreed artwork version, component choices and product references together. When placing a repeat order, confirm which specifications remain unchanged and identify any revisions before production. This gives both sides a clearer basis for checking the order.
Turning the Shortlist into a Purchasing Brief
A useful supplier enquiry sets out the target market, sales channel, product categories, proposed shade selection and expected order quantities. Include the packaging requirements and intended launch timing. If the project is still being defined, separate firm requirements from options being explored.
That information makes the quotation and sample selection more relevant. It also helps avoid comparing a standard product offer with a custom formula or packaging project as if they were the same order.
| Purchasing Decision | What to Confirm | Order Reference |
|---|---|---|
| Color Assortment | Shade gaps, priority colors and quantities per shade. | Approved shade codes, sample references and the assortment list. |
| Cat Eye Collection | Distinct effects, evaluation conditions and product information. | Effect names, approved samples and the application references used. |
| Builder Gel Range | Intended professional use, format, curing and removal guidance. | Selected product references and instructions for downstream users. |
| Private Label Packaging | Included components, branding requirements and approval stages. | Approved artwork version and packaging configuration. |
| Order Planning | MOQ, quotation scope, production schedule and reorder requirements. | Quantities by item, agreed specifications and the confirmed order schedule. |
Sample approval should cover appearance and application, with performance evaluation agreed separately. Ask which results are available for the selected product and define the approval criteria. A finished swatch is useful for narrowing colors, but it is not evidence of wear performance or batch consistency.
Review order quantities and minimums alongside the assortment. An acceptable minimum for one shade does not tell the buyer how much stock the complete launch will require. Custom packaging or formula requests may also change the quotation and order requirements.
Plan the schedule around sample and artwork approval, production and the delivery arrangements to be confirmed. If the launch has a fixed date, share it early and establish which approvals the supplier needs before production can begin. A production estimate and an arrival date are not the same thing.
For importers and private label brands, confirm the product information, labels and supporting documents for the destination market and selected items. Requirements should be reviewed for the actual order rather than inferred from a general company certificate.
Working with JTING on the Next Collection
JTING works with nail brands, importers, wholesalers, distributors and salon supply businesses. Our private label and OEM/ODM services can support coordinated shade development, formula direction, bottle and brush selection, labels and packaging, followed by sampling, approval and bulk production.
For private label gel nail polish, orders can start from 10 pieces per shade. The final MOQ depends on the product type, formula request, packaging and level of customization. Reviewing those choices together gives a buyer a more useful basis for an opening order than considering the shade minimum alone.
An existing customer can begin with the current assortment and the gaps the next order should address. A new brand can share its intended market, product positioning and initial range. We can discuss suitable product options and sample priorities, with the approved references and specifications forming the basis for production and repeat supply.
