Gel Builder

Medium to thick viscosity builder gel for structure and extension.
Ideal for apex building, overlays, and short extensions with controlled application.

BUILD THE CORRECT NAIL STRUCTURE

Choose Gel Builder by Structure, Movement and Application Control

Plan the builder system around the service goal first, then match viscosity, self-leveling behavior, shape retention, product format and finish direction.

Structure Goal Overlay, Apex, Repair or Extension
Movement Self-Leveling or Shape-Holding

START WITH THE SERVICE GOAL

Define What the Builder Layer Must Do

Group nail art gels by finished effect, pre-cure behavior and application technique to make sampling, comparison and assortment planning more precise.

01 · Support

Natural Nail Overlay

Add controlled reinforcement and surface correction without creating unnecessary length.

02 · Balance

Apex Building

Place and retain the required product volume through the stress area while controlling the sidewalls.

03 · Maintain

Repair and Refill

Match adhesion, filing, fill maintenance and product compatibility to the intended service routine.

04 · Extend

Short Extension

Coordinate the free edge, form or tip method, shape retention and confirmed curing direction.

CHOOSE BY WORKING BEHAVIOR

Map the Gel Builder Range from Movement to Hold

The same board serves the main Gel Builder category and its five future child categories. The active category can be highlighted without changing the template.

01
Brush-on Route

BIAB Gel

Bottle-format builder direction for efficient overlay, reinforcement and controlled salon application.

Confirm Before Sampling Brush load · leveling window · overlay thickness · removal direction
02
Balanced Route

Medium Viscosity

A general structural direction where movement and placement control need to remain balanced.

Confirm Before Sampling Self-leveling speed · apex control · service range · filing load
03
Controlled Route

High Viscosity

A slower-moving direction for deliberate placement and stronger shape-holding during the working stage.

Confirm Before Sampling Pickup · brush drag · sidewall control · extension method
04
Pressure-response Route

Jelly Viscosity

A jelly or creamy direction evaluated under brush pressure and again when the product returns to rest.

Confirm Before Sampling Pressure response · rebound · no-flow control · detail retention
05
Sculpting Route

Solid Viscosity

A highly shape-holding direction for controlled placement, sculpting and dimensional construction.

Confirm Before Sampling Tool release · moldability · structure limit · refinement method

BUILDER BEHAVIOR LAB

Test Movement Before Judging Thickness

Viscosity is not a complete performance claim. Observe what the gel does during pickup, placement, rest, shaping and curing.

Gel builder viscosity and shape-retention testing with brush and sculpting tool
01

Pickup and Release

Check whether the brush or sculpting tool loads cleanly and releases product without uncontrolled stringing.

02

Leveling Window

Observe how quickly surface marks settle and whether the product reaches the cuticle or sidewalls too soon.

03

Apex Retention

Confirm whether the intended height remains where it was placed through the complete working window.

04

Edge and Free-End Control

Evaluate whether the product holds a clean sidewall, free edge and extension profile before curing.

05

Cure and Refinement

Confirm the formula-specific lamp direction, cured structure, surface condition and filing workflow.

MATCH THE APPLICATION ROUTE

Choose the Format and Tool with the Builder Behavior

Product format changes the service workflow. Final selection should match the intended user, speed, structure and maintenance method.

01 · Bottle System

Brush-On Overlay

For a built-in brush workflow where loading, leveling and clean perimeter control are central.

  • Check brush width and product load
  • Confirm overlay and apex range
  • Review bottle and cap compatibility
02 · Jar System

Separate Brush Building

For controlled bead placement and broader consistency options in overlay or structural services.

  • Check pickup and brush drag
  • Confirm apex and sidewall control
  • Review jar access and sealing
03 · Sculpting System

Tool-Led Shaping

For jelly or solid behaviors where pressure, moldability and tool release guide the result.

  • Check pressure response and rebound
  • Confirm shape and edge retention
  • Review refinement requirements

KEEP EFFECT SEPARATE FROM VISCOSITY

Build Color and Effect Collections on the Approved Structure

Viscosity defines working behavior. Color, transparency and suspended effects define the visual collection and should be planned as a separate product layer.

01

Clear

Structure-first direction for transparent overlays, repairs or extension work.

02

Nude and Milky

Coverage and transparency planned around natural-looking salon services.

03

Colored Builder

Color collection direction combined with the approved builder behavior.

04

Jelly Color

Translucent color and structure planned without confusing the finish with viscosity.

05

Shimmer

Reflective particle direction evaluated for distribution and cure through the target layer.

06

Flash and Pearl

Optical response and finish consistency planned for the intended collection.

07

Foil Flake

Suspended flakes evaluated for pickup, placement, surface and distribution.

08

Suspended Effects

Decorative inclusions reviewed for balance, sealing and structural compatibility.

PRODUCT SELECTION AND SOURCINGQUESTIONS

Wholesale Gel Builder FAQs

Answers about Builder Gel, BIAB, viscosity selection, comparisons, lifting, removal, samples and private label development.

What does builder gel do?

Builder gel is used where the service needs more structure than a standard color or base layer. The exact use can include overlay, apex building, reinforcement, repair or extension, depending on the confirmed formula and application system.

BIAB is commonly used for a builder-in-a-bottle direction, but market naming is not always consistent. Buyers should confirm the bottle and brush format, viscosity, intended overlay or extension range, cured structure and removal route.

Start with the service goal and application method. Then compare pickup, leveling speed, working time, apex retention, sidewall control and refinement under the intended lamp and layer thickness.

Lifting can relate to nail preparation, product compatibility, contact around the cuticle, layer control, curing, structure or aftercare. A useful sample test controls these variables instead of assigning every lifting issue to viscosity alone.

The removal route depends on the confirmed formula and product system. JTING should confirm whether the selected direction is intended for soak-off, file-off or a combined maintenance workflow before final instructions are prepared.

HEMA-free and TPO-free directions are available for development. They are not universal claims for every existing product, so the required formula direction and destination market should be confirmed during project review and sampling.

Private label gel nail products may start from 10 pieces per shade where applicable, while house-brand mixed-color orders may start from 100 pieces. Final MOQ depends on the selected product, packaging and customization requirements.

Standard samples are generally planned around 7–10 business days. Custom formula development usually requires about 2–4 weeks, and bulk production after sample approval is generally planned around 15–20 days. Final timing depends on the confirmed project.
