PRIVATE LABEL BRANDS & SCALED DTC LABELS
“From your first collection to your next launch, every shade, formula and packaging choice should feel like part of the same brand—yours.”
——Private Label Project Lead, JTING
01 / YOUR NEXT COLLECTION
Launch your first range or add a new collection to an established label.
JTING works with nail brands on products, custom colors and packaging. Bring your target customer, price position and product references; we will help define what to sample, what to customize and what to carry into repeat orders.
02 / YOUR STARTING POINT
You may be choosing your first shades or adding a collection to a range that already sells. We start with what you have, what your customers expect and what needs to change.
Turn a broad idea into a collection you can sample and price. Decide who it is for, which products belong in the first release and how much customization you need.
Your target customer, preferred look and expected launch date.
Build on the products your customers already recognize. Add a new shade story, introduce a different finish or develop a category that fits the rest of your range.
Your current range, best-selling shades and the gap you want to fill.
03 / DEVELO PMENT SCOPE
A private label project does not always need a new formula. Start with the level of development that matters to your brand; the scope of work should be clear before sampling begins.
| Development Option | A Practical Starting Point | What We Plan with You |
|---|---|---|
|
01 / Brand an Existing Range
Private Label Gel Nail Polish |
A Practical Starting Point You want an existing product direction with your own brand identity. | What We Plan with You Selected products and available shades, your logo, bottle and label choices, and retail packaging. |
|
02 / Develop a Shade Story
Custom Color Collections |
A Practical Starting Point Your brand needs a particular palette, finish or seasonal collection. | What We Plan with You Color references, shade relationships, finish selection and physical samples for approval. |
|
03 / Define a Wider Brief
OEM/ODM Product Development |
A Practical Starting Point You need to develop product performance as well as its appearance. | What We Plan with You Formula direction, application requirements, colors, components and packaging, according to the agreed brief. |
Not sure which route fits? Tell us what should stay standard and what needs to be different.
For a useful comparison, keep the formula, capacity, shade quantities and packaging specification consistent. Ask which sampling, artwork and custom packaging costs are included, and which are quoted separately.
Your intended retail price helps set the brief. Share a target product budget as well, so a bottle or box choice does not take the collection beyond what you planned to spend.
04 / COLLECTION ARCHITECTURE
A well-planned line is more than a long color chart. Start with the products your customers will use together, then decide where a distinctive shade or finish adds something new.
01 / FOUNDATION
Choose the preparation and finish products that belong with the selected color range. Review the intended application sequence during sampling.
02 / EVERYDAY RANGE
Build a usable palette of nudes, reds and other brand-relevant shades. Give each shade a clear place in the collection rather than adding close duplicates.
03 / COLLECTION FEATURE
Use cat eye, reflective or other finishes where they fit the concept. Compare the finished nail effect, not just the color in the bottle.
04 / CATEGORY EXPANSION
Add structure or base products when they suit your audience and application needs. They do not have to be part of every first collection.
05 / CUSTOM COLOR DEVELOPMENT
For custom gel nail polish colors, bring references that show the undertone, opacity and finish you want. A campaign image can explain the mood; a physical sample helps define the color.
Identify the shades intended to stay in the range and the customers they are designed for.
A hero shade, a finish or a small seasonal group can give the release a clear identity.
Review samples using agreed application and viewing conditions. Check coverage and finish as well as hue.
Screens and photography can shift color. Keep approved physical samples as the reference for the project.
06 / BRAND IDENTITY IN HAND
A bottle may look right on its own but feel different beside the rest of your range. Review bottle, brush, label and box choices together, with the selected product inside.
Capacity, silhouette, finish and label space. Review the bottle alongside the intended retail box.
Pickup, brush width and application feel. Check compatibility with the formula and bottle neck.
Logo, shade identification and product information. Check legibility at the actual printed size.
Single-bottle or collection format, inserts and protection. Confirm fit with the selected components.
07 / BEFORE YOUR COLLE ON GOES LIVE
Your website, shade chart and retail packaging should describe the same product. Before bulk production, bring the approved samples and final artwork together for a final check.
We confirm the required materials and their scope with you during project planning.
08 / AFTER THE FIRST RELEASE
Keep repeat shades and new development on separate lists. Tell us which items are running low and when you need them, so the replenishment schedule can be checked without waiting for a new color or packaging concept.
Reference the approved product, shade and packaging details. Confirm quantities and any requested changes before scheduling the repeat order.
Develop a seasonal color group or a new finish alongside the existing line. Compare it with your current palette before adding more SKUs.
Introduce a complementary category when there is a clear customer use for it. Review the product and application requirements as a new development brief.
Use the approved shade, formula direction and packaging version when specifying the next batch. If a brush, finish or color needs to change, flag it separately so the sample review is clear.
Need an exclusive development? Raise it before sampling. The products, markets, period and commercial terms would need to be agreed in writing; custom color development alone does not establish exclusivity.
09 / FROM BRIEF TO PRODUCTION
As your private label gel nail polish manufacturer, JTING coordinates product selection, sampling and packaging approvals. The schedule depends on what your project needs to develop.
Audience, market, range and launch plans.
Products, colors, packaging and quantities.

Produce against the approved project scope.
ORDER & TIMING NOTES

New or established, target market, audience and intended retail positioning.
Product types, approximate shade count, quantities and any existing references.
Colors, formula requirements, bottles, labels, boxes or a combination.
Target launch date, sample needs and any materials already prepared.
11 / QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU START
Have a specific product or packaging requirement? Tell us what you need before you begin sampling.
Yes. You can begin with an existing product direction and develop your brand identity through the selected colors and packaging. Custom formula development is a separate scope to discuss if you have specific performance requirements.
We can discuss custom color development using your supplied references. Include the finish, opacity and application result you expect. Physical samples need to be reviewed and approved; an image on a screen is not a final color standard.
Yes. Share your existing range, approved references and the purpose of the new release. We can discuss a complementary palette, an effect collection or a new product category, while keeping repeat-order requirements separate from new development.
Private label orders start from 10 pieces per shade. The applicable minimum depends on the product, formula and packaging you choose. Send your planned shades and quantities so we can confirm the requirements for your project.
Standard samples typically take 7–10 business days. Custom color or exclusive formula development generally takes 2–4 weeks. Bulk production typically takes 15–20 days after both samples and packaging are approved. Allow separately for approval revisions and shipping; confirm the project schedule before setting your launch date.
Yes. These choices can be coordinated as part of your project. We review appearance, component fit, application needs and artwork together. Availability, sampling requirements and minimum quantities depend on the selected options.
Tell us your target market and requested formula attributes, such as HEMA-free or TPO-free options. We confirm suitability for the selected products. SDS/MSDS, COA and INCI information can be discussed according to the product and project requirements.
Reference the approved product, shade and packaging details when requesting a repeat order, and identify any changes. For an extension, send a separate brief for the new shades or categories so sampling and timing can be planned alongside your existing range.
